The Brief
Establishing an online brand presence and capturing some user data.
The Subtext
The client was interested in using the internet for market research and cost-effective distribution of information material.
The Deliverables
A website with a searchable recipe database and some form of user interaction and data capture.
The Solution
In keeping with PixelPark's established formula we created a website based around Frau Renate, a recycled personality from the brand’s 50s advertising material. Interaction was covered by e-cards, a competition, messageboards, and chat lines.
The Team
On the production side a 'konzeptor', a designer, myself, and full-time staff (well, a student in work placement) hired to impersonate Frau Renate on chat lines and message boards.
My Involvment
I developed the front and back end.
The Outcome
Thanks to the zany Frau Renate this site became extremely popular with Germany’s wired youth. Which, sadly, wasn’t the client’s intention at all, and the account was eventually passed on to another agency.
