Integration with 3rd party system

Thank goodness for XML and Web Services that make integrating backend systems in different environments so much easier.

All of the Cadbury’s projects I worked on integrate with Traction, a CRM platform which provides an API and web based management tool.

For the FlyBe Data Extraction project, data was imported from the Communicator CRM system into our (CMW London) database, where our data team could then process it.

The Malmaison website integrated with an ancient Visual Basic booking system straight into the machine in the hotel’s reception - I am sure they must have upgraded to something very slick by now.

The Levi’s EU website integrated with Blue Martini, a third party CMS system.

In the days before the iTunes store, the myCokeMusic website integrated with an mp3 reseller’s system to award songs as prizes.

Finally, the USIT site integrated in a low-tech kind way with Galileo, the travel reservation system.
